Lot 0141: AFTER SALVADOR DALI SURREALIST MIXED MEDIA PAINTING

41 reviews

Graphite and watercolor on paper painting. After the 1967 artwork titled Nude with Snails Breats by Salvador Dali, 1904 to 1989, a Spanish Surrealist painter. Signed in the lower right. The snail occupies an important place in the Dalinian universe, as it is intimately connected with Sigmund Freud, whom Dali came to regard as his spiritual father. Apart from being one of Dalis favorite foods, he was fascinated by the natural geometry of snail shells and the idea of duality, hard exterior and soft interior, which he interpreted in a psychoanalytical way. Collectible Modernist Graphic Art.
