An expressionist painter in bright colors of portraits, landscapes and still life, Pierre Ambrogiani was most noted for landscape and harbor scenes, in oranges and reds, especially of the countryside along the Mediterranean Sea. Ambrogiani also did engravings. He was self taught but by age 30 had his first exhibition, which was in Marseilles, France.
