A large ancient Pre Columbian Taino Zemi figure. Depicting a three-cornered shape with a smiling face on the one side and legs on the other side with a pointed central part. Known as Zemi idol or Trigonolito, dated approximately 13th to 15th century. Were used as stands, reliquaries, or personal decorations and had a sacred concept and connection with the spiritual and often depicted a deity figure. The figures were made from stone, shell, wood, and bone, and man had many versions of them, each valued for the power it was believed to impart.
