Acrylic on canvas painting by Fritz Scholder, 1937 to 2005, a Native American artist and art teacher. Scholders most influential works were post-modern in sensibility and somewhat Pop Art in execution as he sought to deconstruct the mythos of the American Indian. This lot is a fine example of the painters style. It depicts an abstract figure in blackness with a red shadow. Signed by the artist in the lower left. Titled Veilded Presence and dated 1994 on the backside. Cordier and Ekstrom Inc. label on the backside. Wooden frame. Collectible Modernist Fine Art.
