An antique French faience seated Amphitrite figurine. The goddess of the sea is depicted seated in a shell shaped chariot drawn by a dolphin. Marked with crossed swords in the Meissen manner on the bottom. In ancient Greek mythology, Amphitrite was the goddess and ruler of the sea along with her husband Poseidon.
