A pair of ancient Roman patinated bronze sculpted plaques made in the form of lions heads. Probably used as door knockers. The lions heads have a stern muzzle, a wide mane. The heads are engraved with detailed patterns. Circa 510 BC to 476 AD. These plaques were traditionally attached to the doors of a wealthy home or gate.
