A Russian carved nephrite jade trinket box of round shape with hinged lid. Silver fittings. The lid is garnished with a hand-painted enamel miniature portrait of a girl in flower wreath, after the 1889 painting by Konstantin Makovsky, 1839 to 1915, a Russian Realist artist. The miniature painting is encompassed with diamonds. The clasp is set with a ruby cabochon. Hallmark of 84 silver standard and makers mark are on the rim. Total Weight: 515 grams.
