A Mauritanian Islamic talisman amulet pendant called a tcherot from the Tuareg people of Saharan Africa. Crafted from mixed metals: iron and copper. The central piece has a roughly hourglass shape with slightly flared edges. Two inset, half oval shaped pieces of a lighter metal, are mounted in the middle of the main piece with copper accents around.
