Jozef Wasiolek, Polish, 1921 to 2008, oil painting on canvas depicting a winter rural landscape. Signed lower left. Stamped, and a paper label, on the backside. Jozef Wasiolek is known for Post impressionist painting of buildings, landscapes and flowers, drawing, lithography. Polish painter of post Impressionism and colorism. He studied painting with prof. Adam Rychtarski in Lodz and the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts in the studios of Zbigniew Pronaszka and Waclaw Taranczewski. From 1947 he lived in Lodz. He practiced easel painting, drawing, lithography, as well as wall painting in religious buildings. Landscapes and flowers form the majority of his oeuvre works. One of a kind artwork.
