Marcel Vertes, Hungarian, French, American, 1895 to 1961, an ink painting on paper depicting a scene with a boy and deer. Inscribed, Happy New Year Dora and Marcel, and signed, upper right. Framed. Marcel Vertes was a French costume designer and illustrator of Hungarian Jewish origins. He won two Academy Awards, Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design, for his work on the 1952 film Moulin Rouge. European Fine Art, Illustration Paintings, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
