An antique Japanese, late Meiji era, enamel over copper planter or pot. The exterior of the ware is enameled with polychrome medallions representing human figures and flowers surrounded by floral, foliage and swirl patterns made in the Cloisonne technique. The body and the base of the ware are adorned with polychrome geometrical and scaly ornaments made in the same technique. Circa: late 19th century to the early 20th century. Numbered on the bottom.
