A Russian Imperial Medal in honor of Count Alexey Grigoryevich Orlov from the Admiralty Board, 1770. Comes in NGC case. The production of this award medal was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the naval victory at Chesma. In June 1771, medals in honor of Count A.G. Orlov were distributed to the guests present during the celebration. Gold and silver medals were awarded to senior officers participating in the Battle of Chesma.
