Zofia Stryjenska, Polish, 1891 to 1976, tempera painting on canvasboard depicting a scene with two highlander peasant women in traditional costumes. Signed lower left. With the printed additional expert confirmation by Feliks Kopera, 1942, on the backside. Framed. Zofia Stryjenska was a Polish painter, graphic designer, illustrator, stage designer, and a representative of Art Deco. Along with Olga Boznanska and Tamara de Lempicka, she was one of the best known Polish women artists of the interwar period.
