An illuminated lips lamp by Alina Szapocznikow, Polish, 1926 to 1973. The lamp is designed to resemble a womans chin with red lips and neck. The neck of the lamp is a flexible metal gooseneck. The lamp is labeled. Alina Szapocznikow was a Polish artist and Holocaust survivor. Recognized as one of the most important Polish sculptors of the post war era, Szapocznikow utilized diverse and experimental mediums to investigate and examine the human form, recalling genres such as surrealism, nouveau realism, and pop art.
