An ancient Roman terracotta pilgrim flask, circa 100 to 300 AD. The flask with a squat, flattened body, lentoid shape, and a short neck, flanked by a pair of loop handles protruding from both sides. The item is decorated with a relief spiral pattern. Pilgrim flask was used by pilgrims and travelers in the Middle East to carry drinking water and wine.
