An ancient Roman green glass oinochoe jug or pitcher with a ovoid body and curved handle stands on a splayed pedestal foot with tall cylindrical neck and trefoil lip. Circa 100 to 300 AD. This glass example was likely used for the serving of wine. The curved trefoil mouth made it possible to pour from the front of the vessel mouth or from either one of its curved sides. Items are not tested, dated or certified by the auction house. Ancient Archaeological Artifacts And Art Collectibles.
