An ancient Greek Alexander The Great tetradrachm coin, presumably made of silver, circa 300 to 200 BC. The obverse depicts Herakles, the greatest hero of the Greeks, The reverse depicts Zeus, wearing a crown and shown to be muscular, covering the lower part of his body. He sits on a decorated throne, holding a scepter in his hands, which symbolizes the power and authority of the god, and Alexander as well. This coin also depicts him holding his symbolic bird, the eagle, in his outstretched right hand. Probably a posthumously minted coin. Historical Collectibles, Coins And Numismatics, Jewelry.
