A Russian picture frame. The frame is made of polished Rhodonite sphere with 84 gilt Silver fittings. Footed base with green guilloche border. Miniature painting on round enamel plaque depicts a portrait of Pauline Bonaparte, 1780 to 1825, an imperial French princess, sister of Napoleon Bonaparte. The frame is encrusted with diamonds, adorned with an engraved foliage design, and a bow on the top. Marked with an 84 Silver standard hallmark, and makers mark, on the bottom.
