Krishnaji Howlaji Ara, Indian, 1914 to 1985, oil painting on canvas depicting a still life composition titled By The Window. Signed by the artist lower left. Additionally inscribed to the back. Framed. Krishnaji H. Ara was a painter and is seen as the first contemporary Indian painter to meticulously use the female nude as a subject.
