Oil on board painting by Dmitry Krasnopevtsev, 1925 to 1995, a Russian Soviet era Nonconformist artist. The artwork represents a still life with a vase. Signed by the artist and dated 1959 on the upper left. Wooden frame. Krasnopevtsev used dull, ashen tones which gave his still lives a tint of irreality, similar to the work of such Modernist artists as Giorgio de Chirico and Giorgio Morandi.
