Earl MacPherson, American, 1910 to 1993, mixed media painting on canvas depicting a Pin up portrait of a lady swinging on a swing and holding a panda bear toy. Signed lower left. Framed. A paper label of the Art Americana, on the backside. Earl MacPherson is known for Figure painting, collage, illustration. He moved to Los Angeles after high school, got a job painting movie posters for a downtown theatre, and took evening art classes at the Chouinard School of Art.
