A collection of three color chromo lithographs on paper from the Maitres de lAffiche, Masters of the Poster, refers to 256 color lithographic plates used to create an art publication during the Belle Epoque in Paris, France. The collection, reproduced from the original works of ninety seven artists in a smaller format, was put together by Jules Cheret, the father of poster art. The collection includes a lithohraph representng a poster for the Ambassadors Concert, Eugenie Buffet by Lucien Marie Francois Metivet, French, 1863 to 1932, signed in the plate, upper left; a lithograph representing a poster design for John Irving, 1895, Don Quixote on a white horse, holding a large staff, with a windmill in left background, Denham Beggarstaff Brothers, 1895, signed in the print, Beggarstaffs, lower left; a lithograph representing a poster, Cacao Van Houten, by Adolphe Leon Wilette, 1857 to 1926, signed in the plate, lower right.
