Each ware is made in the form of a cherub supporting an urn issuing three scrolling brass candle arms with composite bobeches. Mounted on a composite base. Inscribed, Falconet, on the base. Each is raised on a brass circular shaped stand engraved with foliate scroll motifs. Etienne Maurice Falconet was a French baroque, rococo and neoclassical sculptor, best-known for his equestrian statue of Peter the Great, the Bronze Horseman 1782, in St. Petersburg, Russia, and for the small statues he produced in series for the Royal Sevres Porcelain Manufactory.
