An antique oil on canvas painting depicting two Galician women attributed to Fernando Alvarez de Sotomayor y Zaragoza, Spanish, 1875 to 1960. Born into a bourgeois family of Madrid and Almeria origins in Ferrol - his fathers older brother was the general and inventor Fernando Alvarez de Sotomayor y Flores, 1844 to 1912, he studied high school at the Real Colegio Agustino de San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
