A Russian 88 gilt Silver and enamel Easter egg casket. The ware is separated into two halves and opens to reveal a gold washed interior. The exterior of the egg is enameled with polychrome Imperial double headed eagle, coat of arms, foliate scroll, floral motifs made in the Cloisonne technique. The casket is adorned with three figural legs designed as hooves with engraved detailed patterns. Marked with a Russian Silver standard hallmark, a makers mark, and other marks.
