A WWII Russian Soviet era propaganda poster, Trudyashchiyesya Leningrada Vosstanovim Nash Gorod, Workers of Leningrad Lets Restore Our City, by Valentin Kurdov, 1905 to 1989, Peoples Artist of the Russian Federation, No. 95, from the Combat Pencil, Boevoi Karandash series. Published by LOSKh, Leningrad. Circa: 1940s. Marked and stamped in the print. Boevoi Karandash is a creative association of Leningrad artists who produced propaganda posters and collections of satirical drawings in the middle of the 20th century. This phenomenon of mass art is often referred to as such. Мalentin Kurdovs work as a satirical posterist was also largely tied to Boyevoi Karandash. Kurdov also worked in a variety of other graphics genres. WWII and Cold War Russian Soviet Propaganda and Military Posters, Graphic Art Prints, and Collectibles.
