A WWII Russian Soviet era propaganda poster, Rabotat v tilu kak na fronte, Work As If You Are Fighting on the Front Lines, by Ivan Kholodov, graphic artist, posterist and book illustrator, 1896 to 1942, No. 31, from the Combat Pencil, Boevoi Karandash series. Published by LOSKh, Leningrad, 1941. Marked and stamped in the print. Boevoi Karandash is a creative association of Leningrad artists who produced propaganda posters and collections of satirical drawings in the middle of the 20th century. This phenomenon of mass art is often referred to as such. Leningrad graphic artist and book illustrator Kholodov joined the Boyevoi Karandash artists collective with the start of the war.
