An ancient Eastern Roman lead votive applique, dating from 100 to 300 AD, depicting a horse and rider. The rider, representing an elite leader or gladiator, is shown in a frontal pose, adorned with a detailed conical headdress and cuirass. The horse, presented in profile, is equipped with a bridle and reins. Such appliques were used as offerings or decorative elements in religious and ceremonial contexts.
