Framed, bears a Findley Galleries paper label attached to the back side. Serge Mendjisky was a French painter known for his brightly colored depictions of Paris. Influenced by Vincent van Gogh and Georges Seurat, Mendjisky employed broken brushstrokes and complementary colors to create the vibratory effect of shimmering light. Born on May 24, 1929 in Paris, France, his father was the Polish painter Maurice Mendjisky.
