The fine item is richly decorated with an engraved pattern, including images of fantastic creatures and plant motifs. It is inlaid with inserts of red coral and turquoise. Shankha or Dung Dkar is a ritual object in the shape of a large sea shell, and also a sacred symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism.
