An antique Russian Imperial Polish silver serving tray. It has a distinctive oval shape with a deep, slightly rounded well in the center. A decorative rim around the edges connects raised medallions with the faces of mythological creatures and pomegranate fruits. The tray is finely engraved with floral motifs in the center. It features three figurative feet representing animal figures, presumably lions. The two handles on either side of the tray are large and ornamental, featuring curved figurative floral and foliage elements. The tray is hallmarked with an 84 Russian silver standard and makers mark on the bottom. Also has an engraved inscription on the bottom: J.W. 6. December 1889.
