A group of three Orders of the Star of the DRA, featuring 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class. The Order of the Star is a five pointed star. On the front side in the middle part of the star there is a relief image of the national emblem of the DRA. Comes with the original suspension and ribbon. Established in 1980, the order was awarded for battlefield valor, primarily to Afghans, with a few issued to Russian advisers. The award was sequential, requiring progression from the 3rd to 1st class, similar to the Soviet Order of Glory, which adds to its rarity. Awards And Memorabilia For Collectors.
