Attributed to Athanasios Zacharias, American, born 1927, oil painting on board depicting an abstract composition. Signed, inscribed with a dedication, and dated 1961, lower right. Framed. Additionally signed, on the backside. Athanasios Zacharias is known for Abstraction, illustrator science. Born in Marlborough, Massachusetts, he grew up in nearby Fall River. A noted abstract artist who worked early in his career as the studio assistant to a number of important American painters, including Willem de Kooning and Lee Krasner.
