An American limited edition linocut engraving by John Robert McCloskey. The engraving was created as an illustration for a children's book and depicts a gloomy, snowy town and a woman sweeping the street. St Botolph Studios, 9 of 10 is handwritten lower left. Hand signed by the artist lower right. On the back there is a note with information about the artist. Robert McCloskey, 1914 to 2003, was an American childrens writer and illustrator, and a two time winner of the Caldecott Medal, which is awarded for the best illustrations in American children's books.
