An Italian oil and gold on two joined canvas painting by Dragani Raffaele, 2024. The artwork, modeled as a building, is titled Inside the Maesta of Duccio: Shining, and depicts a complex abstract composition in vibrant colors. Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. Note: Maesta of Duccio, is an altarpiece composed of many individual paintings commissioned by the city of Siena, Tuscany, Italy, in 1308 from the Italian artist Duccio da Boninsegna. The base of the panel has an inscription that reads: Holy Mother of God, be thou the cause of peace for Siena and life to Duccio because he painted thee thus. Though it took a generation for its effect to be truly felt, Duccios Maesta set Italian painting on a course leading away from the hieratic representations of Byzantine art towards more direct presentations of reality. One of a kind artwork. Modernist Paintings And Wall Decor Collectibles.
