William Foster Reese, American, 1938 to 2010, an oil on canvas painting depicting a still life with vases, jugs and fruits. Signed lower left and dated 1967. Framed. A painter of western genre, William Reese was raised on his familys cattle ranch in central Washington state and from that time had a love of horses, which is obvious in many of his western paintings. He also painted landscapes, still life and marine scenes. Reese was educated at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles and at Washington State University, Pullman. Although oil was his primary medium, Reese also worked with watercolor, pastel, sculpture, etching and lithography, and found he learned something from each one. One of a kind artwork. Mid Century American Paintings And Fine Art Collectibles.
