Leopold Rothaug was an Austrian painter and stage designer. Leopold Rothaug studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and then worked as a theater painter. He worked in the then well known studio of the painters Carlo Brioschi, Hermann Burghart and Johann Kautsky, where Konrad Petrides, Georg Janny, Ferdinand Brunner and Alfons Mucha were also active.
