Lot 0006: LOT OF JAPANESE COLOR WOODBLOCK PRINTS SIGNED

41 reviews

A lot of two Japanese woodblock prints on paper. The first: Shodo Kawarazaki, Japanese, 1899 to 1973, woodblock print on paper depicting a floral composition, signed with a red ink seal, lower right. The second: a color woodblock print on paper depicting a cityscape from the Thirty Views of Kyoto series by Tokuriki Tomikichiro, Japanese, 1902 to 2000, signed and inscribed in the print, lower right. Tokuriki was a leader in the Sosaku Hanga movement in Kyoto, but his prints before World War II reflect the Shin Hanga style of depicting natural landscapes and scenic Japanese places such as in this series. Both are framed. Antique and Vintage Asian Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
