A group of ancient Byzantine crosses and coins. Circa all items are 400 to 600 AD. 9 coins total. The lot includes three Byzantine cast bronze reliquary crosses, known as enkolpions, with a hinge suspension loop. Reliquary crosses were popular in the Orthodox world in the Byzantine and post Byzantine centuries. They were composed of two halves joined by a hinge.
