An antique Russian silver centerpiece by Pavel Ovchinnikov. The oval centerpiece is raised on flower-shaped feet, the body forming a wicker basket decorated with flowers, centered with large leaves, one engraved with a coat of arms, the handles in the form of a musical cherub and an allegory of Summer, the lining in cobalt blue glass. Hallmarked with the number 148862 and the makers name P. Ovchinnikov with Imperial Warrant. Pavel Ovchinnikov was a Russian jewelry manufacturer and supplier of the Imperial court in the late 19th - early 20th century.
