An antique Russian bronze blue enameled icon Joy of All Afflicted, featuring the image of the Virgin Mary at the center, full-length, holding a scepter in her right hand. Surrounding her are the afflicted, turning their prayers toward her. Angels, sent by the Mother of God, console the afflicted, reinforcing the theme of divine intervention and comfort.
