An ancient Roman Empire silver Denarius of Maximinus Thrax, circa 235 to 236 AD. The obverse features a laureate, draped, cuirassed bust facing right, surrounded by the inscription IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG. The reverse depicts Providentia standing left, holding a wand in her right hand over a globe and a cornucopia in her left hand, surrounded by the inscription PROVIDENTIA AVG.
