The amphora shaped vase is made of frosted glass, featuring a cobalt blue overlay representing blossoming flowers and leaves, and a banded neck and foot. Marked, Webb, and probably dated 1880, on the bottom. This cameo glass vase, created by the celebrated firm of Thomas Webb & Sons, is a sublime illustration of the Japanese taste in late nineteenth century British decorative arts. Circa: 1880.
