A World War II Nazi German Iron Cross medal, 2nd Class. It was established in 1939 and was primarily awarded for acts of bravery and meritorious service by members of the German armed forces. Features a black iron cross with a silver outline. In the center, there is a swastika above the date 1939, and the reverse side bears the date 1813.
