Oil on canvas painting, attributed to Narayan Shridhar Bendre, also known as N.S. Bendre, 1910 to 1992, an Indian artist, founder of the Baroda group, an experimental art school which offered an alternative to the nationalism associated with Santiniketan and the Bengal School. The artwork depicts a multi-figure scene, women hanging out laundry. This painting combines traditional Indian miniature painting with French Pointillism. Undated, unsigned. Collectible Mid Century Modernist Fine Art, Southeast Asian Artists.
