Lot 0099: ANTIQUE ENGLISH ETCHING BRASS RUBBING PRINT
41 reviews
An antique English etching, brass rubbing print from St. Helen Bishopsgate in London. The original slab dates from around 1535. The heraldry on a gown of a lady, a lion rampant with three wounds on the shoulder, may be that of the Bolbec or Robsart families. The original slab contained an indent for a shield but not for an inscription. Antique Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
