The piece is a byeri, the representation of an ancestor used in worship ceremonies. This figurine represents a female figure with exaggerated physical features and it is mounted on a wooden stand. The face is bounded from above by high semicircles of eyebrows and is often made in the shape of a heart, eyebrows, and nose form a single convex line, mouth, and small cut chin protrude strongly forward.
