A Central African Fang people Byeri reliquary figure from Gabon. Represents a hand carved male figure with exaggerated physical features. The lower part is simplified to represent an elongated cylindrical base. The face is bounded from above by high semicircles of eyebrows and is often made in the shape of a heart, eyebrows, and nose form a single convex line, mouth, and small cut chin protrude strongly forward.
