Marcel Vertes, Hungarian, French, American, 1895 to 1961, a limited edition color lithograph on paper depicting a portrait of a lady. Signed in pencil, lower right. Numbered in pencil, lower left. Framed. Marcel Vertes was a French costume designer and illustrator of Hungarian Jewish origins. He won two Academy Awards, Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design, for his work on the 1952 film Moulin Rouge.
