James McBey, Scottish, 1883 to 1959, watercolor painting on paper depicting a scene with a sheep herder in a landscape, 1932. Signed and dated, lower left. Framed. James McBey was a largely self taught Scottish artist and etcher whose prints were highly valued during the later stages of the etching revival in the early 20th century. He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Letters by Aberdeen University. One of a kind artwork.

Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and age. Has slight stains. Cracks and chips in frame. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
